Sibur lining up transport for Siberian polymer products.

Petrotahlil:Sibur Holding and Russian transport company TransContainer have signed a letter of intent (LOI) outlining joint plans for the transportation of polymer products across Russia and to overseas destinations. 

The agreement stipulates that TransContainer will deliver Sibur polymer products manufactured in at the ZapSibNeftekhim petrochemicals complex in Siberia, to southeast Asian markets, primarily China.  

The transport company has also committed to having a “sufficient number of” 40-foot rail containers permanently available at Sibur’s terminal in Tobolsk.

Sibur’s ZapSibNeftekhim polyolefin production facilities are currently under construction. Completion is scheduled for the second quarter of 2019.
