Petrotahlil :This week, PTA prices slipped in Asia. Reports of quiet buying trends in key markets like China, owing to the National holidays and weaker upstream PX values, together pulled prices of PTA lower in Asia.

The price fall, was further supported by a drop in fellow polyester MEG feedstock values.

CFR China PTA prices, were at the USD 645/mt levels, while CFR South East Asia prices, were at the USD 650/mt levels, both down USD 5/mt from the previous wee

CFR India prices, were assessed lower at the USD 650/mt levels, a week on week fall of USD 10/mt.

Upstream PX prices on Friday, were assessed lower at the USD 760/mt FOB Korea levels, a drop of USD 15/mt from the last week.
