MEG prices witness a fall in Asia.

Petrotahlil :This week, MEG prices in Asian edged lower. The marginal fall, was on the back of continued weaker demand sentiments in major markets like China, owing to the ongoing National holidays.

A drop in fellow polyester PTA feedstock rates, further supported the price decline.

CFR China MEG prices were assessed at the USD 600/mt levels, while CFR South East Asia prices of MEG, were assessed at the USD 605/mt levels, both down USD 5/mt from the last week.

Upstream ethylene prices on Friday, were at the USD 840/mt CFR North East Asia levels, while CFR South East Asia prices of ethylene, were at the USD 790/mt levels, both unchanged from the previous week.
