Phenol prices bolster higher while Acetone prices edge higher in parts of Asia.
Petrotahlil - This week, phenol prices marched higher in some parts of Asia.
CFR South East Asia prices were assessed up at the USD 645/mt levels, a surge of USD 50/mt from the previous week. The sharp price rise was supported by limited regional product availability.
CFR China phenol prices were assessed steady at the USD 790/mt levels.
Meanwhile, feedstock benzene prices were assessed at the USD 395/mt FOB Korea levels, a week on week tumble of USD 30/mt.
Acetone prices were assessed higher at the USD 965/mt CFR China levels, a rise of USD 5/mt from the previous week. Reports of improved regional buying inquiries and higher upstream propylene values, supported the price rise. CFR South East Asia prices were assessed at the USD 800/mt levels, unchanged from the last week.
Meanwhile, feedstock propylene prices were assessed at the USD 795/mt CFR China levels, a week on week rise of USD 10/mt.
