The Second Seminar of Methanol Producers in Tehran
petrotahlil-The Second Seminar of Methanol Producers highlighted the necessity of creating an integrated methanol consortium and establishment of similar consortiums for other petrochemical products.
The event was organized on Sunday in Tehran with the presence of the National Petrochemical Company,CEO Reza Norouzzadeh, Secretory General of Iran's Association of Petrochemical Industry Corporation (APIC) Ahmad Mahdavi, as well as senior executive from petrochemical holdings active in Iran.
At this seminar, Deputy Petroleum Minister for Petrochemical Affairs Reza Norouzzadeh voiced his full support for developing methanol projects in the country by facilitating feedstock supply for methanol producers, sketching a bright future for the sector.
He said, in view of the conditions created by imposition of sanctions, creation of an integrated methanol consortium was a necessity in the country, calling for the establishment of similar consortiums for other petrochemical products.
The official further underlined the necessity of the commitment of companies to convergence under the current circumstances, expressing hope that the petrochemical industry of the country would gain its rightful status by tapping domestic capabilities and acquiring state-of-the-art technologies
